Over 13 years working for the same classic car client, I’ve had several film, location and car studio shots to art direct and produce. This particular shoot was surely one of the toughest. Why? Because we were shooting 12 cars inside two days. Because we had to take front and rear three-quarters, side profiles, details, interiors and engine shots for each. Because we couldn’t buy any more time on location. Because we had to dovetail the shoot with filming 12 car ads I was also producing, which were being filmed in the same space – an old aircraft hanger I found for the job. And because collectively, the cars were worth somewhere around £25M. Stressful? Undoubtedly. Did we do it? Of course we did…
